How much does a Motopia Rental/Rent-To-Own program cost?
The Motopia rent-to-own program is the most competitively priced program in the rideshare market. This program is designed for people who are more long term and wish to own the vehicle at the end of the term. Can I return a car and get a refund?
We only refund deposits on RENTAL contracts. We do NOT refund DOWNPAYMENTS made against a RENT-TO-OWN contracts
What type of vehicles does Motopia Rent/Rent-to-Own?
We go through a tough vetting process to choose the most dependable vehicles for high mileage usage as it is required by most rideshare platforms. We only rent the latest model vehicles. We offer full maintenance on rental contracts and a 26-week complimentary maintenance on Rent-to-own vehicles. We go out of our way to make sure your vehicle is in top condition so you do NOT have to worry about the vehicle. Please consult our sales team at the time of delivery to more specific maintenance details.
Do I need a rideshare account to get approved?
Yes, our program is designed for Rideshare Platform FOR PASSENGER HIRE use. We currently don't have a program for deliveries (UberEATS, Grubhub). You must show affiliation with a TNC company (i.e. Uber/Lyft/etc.)
Can I work for more than one company while renting a vehicle from your company?
Yes! You can work for more than one company, ie; both Uber, and Lyft, or any other car service companies at the same time while renting a vehicle from Motopia.
Can the car be used for personal use?
Yes, as long as you are the only person driving the vehicle
Can I drive anywhere with the car?
No, insurance is covered mainly in the state you operating in. This is a ride-share use vehicle and its purpose is to be used for Uber and Lyft in the state you indicated.
Is there a limited amount of mileage?
No, there is no mileage limit.
What is the minimum age requirement to rent from Motopia?
The minimum age requirement is 22 years old.
Which documents do I need to bring with me to a pickup location to get a vehicle?
Latest copy of bank statement, your Uber and Lyft account snapshot and your driver's license.
When do I get my deposit back?
Depending on the type of contract you chose, on a RENTAL, if the vehicle was returned in the same condition as the vehicle was delivered (normal wear and tear is acceptable) we will hold deposits for outstanding tickets and EZ-PASS summons for a period of 3-weeks. If the contract is a RENT TO OWN, the downpayment is NOT refundable.
